Was John Wayne (a.k.a. Marion Morrison) anything like the characters he played?
I love a lot of old John Wayne movies and my sense is that the real-life John Wayne was a lot like the characters he played in the movies...just wondering if that was true or if it's just an inaccurate perception on my part.

I'd say it's true! Just because I love John Wayne---I love the Quiet Man and he's the IT! I hope he was like that anyways.... I LOVE Maureen O'Hare being his leading lady in a lot of them too. She's great as well....
