Um it was about a girl and her husband who made it to this really beautiful place on a wagon but her husband died and she lives with this other man and his daughter and becomes her mother. She also has a child later in the movie.
Answers:
It is a triology. Sara, Plain and Tall is the first one in the series. It is very good. She is moving out west with her husband and as they are about to claim some land, her husband falls off his horse and is killed. She is helped out by this widower who, she marry's for convience, as a deal to get passage back to the east. She has a rough time with his daughter but they eventually respect each other and she learns to love the widower.
