He put a lot of effort into his role for The Machinist where he played an insomniac and weighed like 120 pounds (apparently he holds the record for most weight lost for a movie role), but that gained that all back again to play Batman in Batman Begins, which he was awesome in but even more incredible in American Psycho. He plays like sort of a spoof on an American male, very suave and awesome and hilarious. That's my favorite movie of his (but The Machinist I gave a 10/10 to).
