Does it annoy you that Fall Out Boy stole lyrics from the movie "Closer?&qu!

Question:

Does it annoy you that Fall Out Boy stole lyrics from the movie "Closer?"?

I've heard this song on the radio several times and wonder if most people know that the hook was stolen from a movie?? (or possibly the play that proceeded it, which I haven't read)..

1) The movie, "Closer," - 2004

Larry (Clive Owen): "What does it taste like?"
Anna (Julia Roberts): "It tastes like you, but sweeter.."

2) Fall Out Boy - , Infinity on high, "Thnks Fr Th Mmrs" - 2007:

"One night, yea, one more time,
Thanks for the memories,
Thanks for the memories,
--->See, he tastes like you, only sweeter."<----

You can't tell me it's a "coincidence," either. No two people would come up with a line like that.

They could have at least named the song after the movie to pay homage or something...

Answers:

Pete (the main lyricist for Fall Out Boy and bass player) has said in several interviews that he got that line from the movie. In fact he even said it on the Fall Out Boy website that he got the line from the movie.

He's never denied that it came "Closer." I think the reason they didn't pay homage to it (like naming the song "Closer") was because of copyright laws. That's also the reason why it's not exactly "It tastes like you, but sweeter". I've known that it was taken from the movie for a while but not many people do. You'd be surprised at how many people have asked "Why does it say HE in 'Thnks fr th Mmrs'?" and similar questions. But really Pete's not hiding the fact that it's from a movie. BTW, is the movie good? I've never seen it; I've only heard about it from Pete.
