Rotten Tomatoes gives Transformers a 56%, wtf are they thinking?

I've talked to several people regarding the movie, and they simply loved it. A few people have admitted that it was the best movie they've seen. I've read several other reviews claiming the same thing. So why does Rotten Tomatoes give the movie a disgraceful 56%. What gives? I mean if half of these critics really believe it was anything less of a "fair" film, then mark my words I'll never devote a second of my attention to reading a critic's review on the interent or anywhere else.

Nah, I think the average joe likes it while close-minded critics (who think their **** doesn't smell btw) rate these films with much bias against the film.

Because critics actually know a thing or two about movies.

Transformers has a completely retarded plotline and an insulting and unprecedented amount of product placement.
