I haven't seen the movie, and I can't find out what happens - imdb, wikipedia etc don't say.. I'm just wondering.. Do Garth and Violet ever get together? Because apparently he was secretly in love with her or something.. so i'm wondering.. Does she ever find out? Do they ever kiss? WHAT HAPPENS! =P
Yea I know I'm spoiling it for myself. But I'm probably not going to be able to watch it, so please don't tell me that this is a stupid question and I'm ruining it for myself. I'm just in love with William Fichtner so I HAVE to know. Lol.

Yes she find out the truth of their relationship. that is the point of the movie. She finds out that they were once married and he has been trying all this time to solve the problem of the disease only to find out that his people have been doing all they can to keep the problem going to make more money and protect themselves. It is similar in subject to V for Vendetta in that respect.
