Is JJ Abrams' new trailer about a parasite or H.P. Lovecraft's Cthulhu?
I'm having a debate with my friend on what Abrams' new movie is about. He read online that it's a parasite that crashes on Earth. Explaining the explosions. I've read in Wikipedia that the movie was based on Lovecraft's The Cthulhu, a god-like creature from the sea that destroys humanity on land. Explaining the roaring. Also that Abrams is fan of Lovecraft's work.That info was removed few days ago. Probably to keep the project in wraps. He believes that the info was wrong, that why it was removed. So, what's your take on the movie? Is it goth horror retold or sci-fi? If anyone knows any actual info on the movie with sources, please answer!
