Did anyone see this movie : first "born"?

I saw the movie and did not really get, it was very confusing. So I wanted to know if anyone can explain the movie to me. Thank you for answering

This is what I found out:
the mother was into some kind of depression, and everything was just in her mind, her seing rat( even in the baby crib) and she was actually the one who put the knife in the baby crib and the nanny was just trying to remove it from there when she ( the mother) woke up and accused the nanny of wanting to kill the baby. Also what the nanny put under the baby's bed was some kind of protection for the baby since her mother was acting all weird ( the nanny knew that the baby life was in some kind of danger. Also we happened to heard the baby name only once in the movie. Also remmember that somewhere in the movie the nanny tried to explain to her that when she was younger she had her first baby, and that babies can sometime take the soul of their mother ( of which I think was creepy) and she got her soul back. ( By doing what? may be by killing her own baby right? ).
