Harry Potter Fans...?

So, what's the verdict? I'm a HUGE fan, and I thought the film was, well, I'll post later to say how I felt. I want other peoples' opinions before, though.

Okay, for everybody who doesn't know what film I'm talking about, why are you even answering this question? It's pretty obvious I'm asking about OotP. Why would I be asking about any other Harry Potter film? I just all the sudden got the notion to see what people thought about PoA and forgot to mention that, when OotP came out today? Anyway, I'll quit ranting. I LOVED the movie! They cut only where they needed to and left the more important scenes in. Luna and Umbridge were absolutely perfect for the movie and Dumbledore actually plays the part correctly this time. Much of the movie is actually quoted directly from the book, and I found myself coming close to following along out loud before coming back to reality and realizing how stupid that would sound. Best HP film by far. And for those people who want the films to be exactly like the book, y'all are crazy. That would make for a 7 hour movie, and besides, the films are not meant to please only the diehard fans.

They are meant to get people to go see them and understand them and go away feeling like they could follow the movie. Fans can fill in the blanks where necessary, and people who just go to see the movies will be satisfied. Great movie, and very true to the book, much more like CoS and PS/SS, unlike PoA, and especially GoF, which they totally ruined. I'm glad David Yates is directing HBP too. It's bound to be good because OotP was so good. Only one small thing: I hope Michael Gambon (Dumbledore) keeps getting better, or they will need to replace him for HBP. He was better in Order that in Goblet, but he will need to calm down even more to be truly successful in HBP.

That movie is so awesome, but it kinda left me wanting more. I just hope it all works out the best in the end.
