Who saw order of the phoenix?
what did you guys think of it just by itself.. and then compared to the book?
Answers:
The movie itself, if you have never read the books, was wonderful. There was never a dull moment. the visuals and sound was amazing, and the acting was incredible, especially for such young actors. I definitely have seen an improvement in the acting over the years and loved all the performances. It felt like it went by so fast for a two hour twenty minute movie. Beautiful!
Now, compared to the book, it obviously falls a bit shorter. It is very difficult to cram 800 pages of details and get everyones own vision of the book. However, I think they did a great job. The prophesy wasn't developed in full detail, which is the whole reason for Harry's dreams, and neither was Sirius's character I felt. Other small details were reconstructed as well. The ending--was spectacular. The fight scene between Voldemort and Dumbledore and harry's emotional conflict between good and evil was wonderfully portrayed.
