I'm confused at to the ending... was there ever a ghost? Was the father molesting the girl? Could someone explain this to me? I think I'm having a blonde moment!

This movie is based on the legend of the Bell Witch... There was supposed poltergest activity in the house brought on by a supposed curse. The movie seems to make it look like all these activities are caused by the daughter (probably subconsciously) because her dad is raping her.
