Does anyone know of any 'vintage inspired' movies? I'm talking mid 1920s to early 50s.?

I'm in a play set in that era and was wondering if you could help. I've already watched too many black and white films so I was hoping you could give me some made in the last decade but set in the golden era.

L.A. Confidential (1997)
is a great one

and

This Gun for Hire (1942)
is an authentic one from the era

also

Hollywoodland (2006)
is somewhat authentic in style, but not that great

and check out
The Black Dahlia(2006)

this is another one I found but haven't seen. They say its set in the 40s in NYC
