Why didn't the Beatles do their own voices in Yellow Submarine?!

Why didn't the Beatles do their own voices in Yellow Submarine?
I think it would have been so much better if they did it themselves. What were their reasons for having actors do their voices?
Answers:
Because when it was announced that there was going to be a "Yellow Submarine" movie,the Beatles agreed that they would not participate in the movie in any way.They attended the premire of the movie but didn't do the voices because they were burned out of making movies.And look at the songs on the soundtrack at the time-"Yellow Submarine" originally was on REVOLVER.So even the soundtrack wasn't even new-just a bunch of already released songs thrown together.
And two actors did all four voices-one did two,the other did the other two.
