To date, Who do you think is the Best and Worse Harry Potter movie director and why?
So far we've had
-Christopher Columbus for movie 1-2
-Alfonso Cuaron for movie 3
And
-Mike Newell for movie 4
(And if you've manage to see the OOTP movie, David Yates can be counted as well)

The best is apparently Alfonso for 3.
Movies 1 and 2 were absolutely predictable and tedious to get through. It is like the book, animated.
3 was a lot more mature and well, quirky. He has a unique style and uses visual symbols, which are appropriate and weirdly charming. Not as shallow as the former two.
4 was a little pretentious, in my opinion. Almost like forced angst.
