Have you seen the movie the labyrinth?!

Question:

Have you seen the movie the labyrinth?

its not very popular but i love it haha

Answers:

Of course I have seen it!

Aw, I love it! I'll go easy on the details, and make this as undetailed as I can stand, and won't go too deep or precise.

That movie has influenced my life more than one should be glad to admit. Haha. Apparently my mother, who has quite a liking of fantasy bought it for me when I was a baby...So she started me on it when I was tiny. I have watched it many times, sometimes several times a day, even to this day.

I love Labyrinth in so many ways. First off, the world that Jim Henson and Co. created absolutely fascinated me. I delve into fantasy and the myths and folklore of it all, and being very creative at nature, I enjoy it, and kind of bring it into my life, even now. Sarah Connelly delivers, but David Bowie as Jareth is more favourable for me. His character was absolutely breathtaking, and very captivating to say the least. Made me like my men pretty for starters! The development of the story and the undertones of sexual awakening and the tight breeches eventually brought me to awareness maybe a little too young... I was like.... "OH!" haha. Funny thing, even as a little kid, I recognized what I found sad in the movie, I always found it as a sad..rejected love fairy tale. It still makes me a little bit sad. That fairytale aspect, and an amazing guy willing to giving up everything for just a mere girl was too much, and formed my views of romance, and the kind I wanted. I wouldn't settle, and I am getting my fairytale romance and wedding and life, and such. I'm lucky on that bit.

Because of that movie, I'm absolutely taken with 18th century venetian style, carnival masks, and masquerades. I am planning my wedding lately, and I've chosen a castle to marry in, and am having a beautiful 18th century venetian ballroom dress made. I also plan to attend the annual "Labyrinth of Jareth" Masquerade in California after I get my dress made.

Easily said, this is my favourite movie, and it means more to me than any movie ever has, actually. I love Labyrinth, that can definately be said.
