Is it possibly to make a slideshow with backround music using Windows Movie Maker?

Absolutely. I have made many slide shows using Windows Movie Maker. There are all kinds of effects and transitions that you can use to really make it nice. It is very user friendly. You just hit the button that says "import music" and then add that to your time line. Then you import you pictures and decide to add effects or transitions. Very fun and addictive.
