I heard ages ago that they were making a film adaptation of Philip Pullmans 'His Dark materials' series. I really enjoyed the books and cant wait to see the Movie version- I know it will be great.

Answers: December 7th this year is the UK release date.. as the previous post says, tis December this year supposed to be.

I was an extra in this (amongst many many others) - not my kind of film i don't think, though i havn't read the book, but i might just go watch the movie, and not just because i'm in it somewhere long the lines :-) "The Golden Compass" will be released in December, just in time for Xmas. It is only the first book in the trilogy though. I believe it will be out around Xmas! You can see pics of the making of it on the web just type in the title and you will see loads. I can't wait either it looks just as you would imagine!
