both have moved millions of people, altered lives and even how movies themselves are watched. David Fincher's Fight Club was the greatest movie ever made. It just sets a higher standard of film making. Technically, it is a movie unrivaled in production. It's a drop dead gorgeous masterpiece of cinematic awesomeness. It's the pinnacle of film making. There will never be another Fight Club. It's like a pop train of destruction that carries you into a dark world of frustration, humor and sheer primal will. The screenplay itself is just so revolutionary. It's so crazy, it's real. It's so real, it's scary. It's controversial and yet aching and inspiring. That scene at the end with the exploding building and the silhouette of Marla and Jack holding hands to the sound of the Pixies... that was brilliant. Genius. Pure millennium genius. Citizen Kane always ranks up there.

Personally, I like Casablanca. the invisible Gone With The Wind, It's a Wonderful Life are some of the best older movies..

Newer: The Royal Tenebaums and The Godfather , well the godfather is kinda old but not as old as the previous :) Armageddon. It has everything: action, sci-fi, suspense, drama, romance, comedy! Perhaps some of the best movies I have ever seen have to be David Fincher’s masterpiece Fight Club. Boasting one of the best twists in a film ever seen (there is some competition here with The Usual Suspects, The Sixth Sense, & Se7eN). Although the tile may impose an impression on the first-time viewer that the movie is all about men fighting to the death, this movie is something truly else. A gritty look at consumerism, capitalism, alienation, anti-socialism, and the human spirit in our society, Fight Club is now a cult classic and features great performances from scene-stealer Brad Pitt, Edward Norton, and Helena Bonham Carter. Another great movie I have seen is OldBoy. This 2005 thriller from Korea garnered the Grand Prize of the Jury at the Cannes International Film Festival. Not for those who have a weak stomach, imagine OldBoy as a meditative and gritty remake of The Bourne Identity – Korean Style. A heartbreaking ending with an unexpected twist, this film remains still powerful to this day and is the film I always recommend to people who want to immerse themselves into foreign films. Great cinema.
