What's the scoop on Devdas?

Hi all,

I'd like to order Devdas, but which version should I get? (as in like the 1955 version, the 1979, or the 2002)

Even though I'd still get it without, do any of the disks have English subtitles? I'd think so, but who knows.

Also, is there any other Indian film that I should look in to?

Answers: I liked all 3 versions and if you get them on dvd,they all come with the option of english subtitles. If I had to pick just one I'd pick the original, but I like all originals better than the remakes anyway..that or the most recent(2002) version, the 79 version seems hokey in comparison,but all are good.
