What is the scariest movie you ever saw?!
Question:
What is the scariest movie you ever saw?
Answers: I'm still going to have to stick with Stanley Kubrick's The Shining. I remember being scared when I was a kid. But then I watched it a few years ago (when I was in my early 30's). I was sitting in my living room with the lights on and I still came close to turning it off because it was scaring the crap out of me. I haven't been scared for a long time, but I really enjoyed "The Ring." Black and white Night of the Living Dead Hostel exorcist III Barney's Big Adventure Premonition (2004) aka Yogen

This is the first film in a very, very long time to make me edgy and caused me to "jump out of my hide" at least twice, which is remarkable for me. As a matter of fact, toward the end of the film, if it had been on tape, I would have fastforwarded it, just to get over the strain of waiting to see what the poor man would be put through next!
The last time a film scared me was the Zuni doll segment in "Trilogy of Terror", a 1975 TV movie by Dan Curtis. After all, we weren't used to something like a vicious, tiny doll racing around shrieking and knifing people! They did a great job of doing that. They had to rely on puppeteering and other camera tricks, not CGI.
Actually, they had a sequel in "TOT 2", but it simply didn't work as well in a museum with a bunch of people as it did in an apartment occupied by Karen Black and a fierociously ugly doll/fetish! I'd have to say Jacob's Ladder just plain freaky Wolf Creek.
I wish I never got it... evil dead I remember my sister and I stayed up late one night years ago and watched the movie 'Black Christmas' on TV - the version with Margot Kidder, Olivia Hussey and Keir Dullea - and were scared to death. I saw it again recently and still got goosebumps in some of the scenes!
