Godzilla American version was released in 1998
Godzilla 2000 Japenese version was released in 2000
Some are fans of both American & Japanese versions.
But I'm assuming your referring to the American version. I have no idea if a sequel will be made anytime soon, it's been nearly a decade since it's last release.
Godzilla vs King Kong would make a great new movie ! Oh! I hope not! Isn't there already a gazillion?! Gozilla vs. Mothra, etc. A sequel was planned by Roland Emmerich but because the film did so badly at the box-office they withdrew the idea.
Personally I like it. And it certainly wasn't as bad as the old Jap originals!
