(the whole movie isnt sad) Have the soundtrack music playing, serve criossants (as well as other food, but make them stand out), ask the guests to dress up as a character from the film (give them a bit of info if they haven't seen the film), maybe have fake diamond party gifts/favours of some sort. Maybe you could get a copy of the movie poster too, and the light blue Tiffany's colour in the theme. Hope you have a good party. Source(s):

Why would you have a sad theme for your birthday party? now i forget if breakfast at tiffanys is in nyc but id cut out a skyline and attach it to a wall. get posters have a big sign that says tiffanys over a door. offer breakfast foods and require everyone to dress in wonderfull outfits but noone but the birthday girl can dress up at audery hepburn or they're not allowed in. :)
