What ever happened to Tom Haygen, the Irish guy that was adopted by the don? He was in parts 1& 2, but I can't follow what happened to him. Did they even say? Wait... Fredo got shot in the boat, Sonny was killed at the toll. But did Michael ever say what happened to Tom? Am I the only one who remembers the movies? Help, I'm frustrated.

According to The Godfather, Part III, Hagen dies at some point prior to the timeframe of the film, 1979-1980. There is no specific indication in the film as to when or how he dies, except that it is before the ordination of his son, Andrew.
The Godfather's Revenge
Mark Winegardner's sequel The Godfather's Revenge explains that Hagen was murdered in August 1964 by former Corleone underboss Nick Geraci, who drowns him in the Florida Everglades. Geraci then sends Michael a package containing a dead baby alligator along with Hagen's wallet, a message similar to the one that was sent to Sonny following Luca Brasi's death. I can't remember but think there was mention of his character in that god awful 3rd movie. Honestly can't remember because that movie was so bad. didnt he step down when Michael took over & Mike appointed a new consigliere? was it Vito his dad? Michael essentially retires Tom (Robert Duvall) when he takes over. He's' smentioned in III (in passing). He invented those twirly things on strippers breast's and makes a nice living. captdare hits it on the money. you should know this because the book godfathers revenge came out last nov. what kind of godfather fan r u?
