Question:
In the movie/play "The Producers," how did they break the law through their accounting practices?
What law was broken by raising more money than necessary to get the show off the ground? Also confused by the success element that would pay them a lot more. What am i missing?
Answers: You sell 100 people each a 10% share of the profits. You then try to make sure the show is a flop so you have no profits and keep the unused money. But if it is a hit, you are dead meat as you then have to pay 100 people each 10% of the profits (which is impossible).
