Youtube Question easy 10 points?!

Question:

Youtube Question easy 10 points?

On youtube can someone post a full movie on there? Or is there some limit on how much time you have? Cuz i though it would be cool to put some full movies on there in one wholw video. But is that possible? Person who answers the best wins an easy 10 points! thanx

Answers: If you were to upload a full movie, you'd would have to split the movie into parts or scenes reduce its quality because each video is limited to 10 minutes and 100 MB, so you can't upload a whole movie about 10 minutes. I wanted to post Shaolin Soccer but it wouldn't. T-T And if it was copyrighted, you can break the agreement and get your account banned.

But if you were a director, you DON'T have a time limit. Try and get director.

I would recommend uploading it into myspace video because there is no time limit, the only con of it is that it must be 100 MB.

Hope this helped you out! =)

PS

Stephen, dude under me, has the word-to-word help thing from Youtube. And the web he recommended is nice. i believe there is some time limit because i watch videos on it and they have to be broken down into parts. I guess it doesnt really matter how long the movie is. If its copyrighted they will just delete it anyway. And if you post too many they will suspend your account. There's a gigabyte limit,so no movies can be posted. u have alimit of 45 min It would have to be cut up, the longest I've ever seen was a show that lasted 24 mintues broken up into 9 min and seconds increments. Limit!

Around 10 minutes, I'm sure.

Unless you pay or something. But I'm sure you still can't post a whole movie. u could show a whole movie but i wouldnt go past 30 -45 minuets cuz then its just going to get boring Pretty sure you can only do 10, maybe 12, minutes at a time. There is a time limit to them u only can posted up to 10minutes 100 mb size of video, if you wanna posted more than 10min and bigger size, u must had to notified youtube, only movie that are original not illegal i mean are allowed to extedend. Yes I believe you can. Depends if you have a paid account. Max is 10 minutes. It used to be that if you had a certain account type you could go over the 10 minute limit, but that doesn't appeart to be the case anymore. YEA U CAN THERE IS NO LIMIT TO THE TIME......I HAVE A YOUTUBE AND I WOULD KNOW.......TOP BY MY PAGE AND LEAVE A COMMENT OR A MESSSSSSAGE......MINE IS bootzbooty.......BYE i think the one thing you should consider is the filesize.youtube allows only up to 100mb of video. i am not really sure if i saw something that says maximum of 10 minutes, but it might be from youtube. but i'd say since the maximum file size is 100mb, then you cannot upload a full movie in there. there are restrictions Regular accounts allow you a 10 minute time limit
OR
100 MB data uploaded (since some formats like Quicktimes take up tons of space, others like webcams take next to nothing)

If, however, you go to a Directors account, you can have NO time limit
AND
100 MB data uploaded.

TV movies are sometimes uploaded in 10 minute segments, with each video labelled Afterschool Special: 1 of 4, Afterschool Special: 2 of 4 etc etc.

The problem with YouTube is that if you upload ANYTHING copyrighted (made by someone other than you) it will be removed. If you do it continually your account will be closed. it has to be broken into parts but u can get in trouble for copyright You are only to go up to 10 minutes, but.....
you can seperate the movie into parts

ex. Mean Girls Part 1, .......part 2.....etc... Here is the definative answer from the Help page of Youtube itself, this is word for word:

"Once you’ve finished editing your video, made sure it's less than 10 minutes, smaller than 100MB, and in an acceptable format, you're ready to upload it."

Also, I'll add it must not be a copywritten movie, if so then you can divide it into 10 min increments.

I recommend ww.Veoh.com for whole movies. They have many available on there site because they have no such limits. Enjoy it for now, I'm sure that will change. I've watched a full movie on youtube before in one video. I think the limit now is 10 minutes but you used to be able to post longer ones with a "Director" account. see source. This is one of the most ANNOYING things about YouTube. You see videos by people like lonelygirl15 posting 20 minute rants about absolute $#(*!, and people who make movies end up dividing their work into pieces.

Heres the scoop: YouTube used to offer 10+ minute accounts. But then one day (after YouTube was bought out), the feature was discontinued. And that's not the worst part. The people who had already signed up don't lose the privilage.

So, no you can't post an entire movie. Sign up for Google Video, where there is no limit. Doesn't matter anyway, if they're using a search engine to find your stuff, it'll show up either way. there is i believe an 1 1/2 hour time limit They had "Romeo & Juliet" (1968) but removed it.

Last time I looked, all of "Phantom of the Paradise" was available, but I haven't been back to check that.

I have no idea what the rules are, but it certainly would be best to check their rules first since it would save you a lot of time. I'm not sure if it's a banned from YouTube situation or not. i have seen many and they are done in 10min parts please do they need more movies what is your name for youtube so i can check them out.
