im 30 and have not read the book but i will soon I cried. The book is really good, but you have to ignore things that Grisham got "wrong", like -- in the beginning -- there is an African-American bar that is playing Michael Jackson and Lionel Richie songs...not realistic. But if you can look past the errors Grisham made in his first book, I think you'll enjoy it.
Check out other John Grisham movies here:

I don't know how old you are, but I also suggest The Green Mile. It is for adults, because of some of the topics, but had me crying like a baby. Sometimes it feels good to cry. I'd suggest having a happy movie to watch after it, though. It is one of those movies that really makes you think. Steven King wrote the novel.

I love movies. Sometimes, though, the books are better. If you'd like to read more books by John Grisham, you can see what else he's got available here:
http://www.olemiss.edu/depts/english/ms-... The first seven books on the list were my favorite. Since you liked A Time to Kill, you may like the book The Rainmaker and The Runaway Jury the most. If you like funny novels, I suggest Skipping Christmas (not the movie, though. The book.) It hasn't got to the end yet, and although I've seen it before, I can't remember the end. What they did to that little girl was terrible, I don't know what I'd have done. I haven't watched a film in 5 mths. Last film i saw was Barnyard. The older i get i don't seem to bother with TV or dvd's much. Though i'm hooked on Doc Martin on a Monday night. no but i would of done the same as what her farther had done verry sad film
