Question:

Transformers 2 is set to release June 26, 2009. Why?!!!!!!?

The ending, in my opinion, left no room for sequel.

Answers: There's a buttload of Decepticons and Autobots out there that haven't been on the big screen (and there's some that should never be. I'm looking at YOU, Wheelie, Huffer, and Blurr). However, the absolute reason I'd want a sequel: Unicron.

http://youtube.com/watch?v=tg4gapclgos&m... I don't know why but I hope it is a good as the first! well they made so much money off the first one they figured it would be worth it. alot of movies dont make sense these days anyways so i guess theyre just joining the club. I'll give you 316 million reasons why they are making a sequel. The film makers/studio don't care that it wasn't left open for a sequel. I think it's because the first movie was a smash hit. Also, in the cartoon, Megatron could not be taken out that easy and there were many other types of Autobots and Decepticons that could be introduce in the sequel like Omega Supreme, the Dinobots, the Insecticons, and the Constructagons. Do you want the business reason, or the plot/line story reason?

The business reason is simple. Everyone involved made so much money from this movie, they want to do it again! More sequels, more money.

The plot-line/story reason? They left the story open with its ending (did you see the scene AFTER the start of the credits? And remember, an Autobot beams a message in space to any surviving Autobots. hell the first one sucked.

took an hour just to get interesting

the weird thing is that Michael Bay said 2 months ago that he wasnt going to do a sequel because they werent going to put it on Blue Ray. 1. You didn't stay for the credits. After the credits, Starscream could be seen flying out of the earth's atmosphere and through space.

2. There are plenty of other Decepticons to turn into villains.

3. Transformers was a great Action movie, and was a hit at the box office. If I was the head of Dreamworks, I would obviously want to make a sequel. the special effects used in the movie will take much longer suring production so it will take a few years to work all that out. plus they have casting and filming before they start adding the special effects. :) i think it absolutely left room for a sequel. with optimus prime saying (basically) "hey were here, we can't leave, come find us".
