It is one of my all-time favorites! I love the novel, "Bid Time Return" by Richard Matheson, and this is quite a good version of it.
Jane Seymour and Christopher Reeve are magical together, Christopher Plummer is great, and the setting and music are wonderful! It's so fancifully romantic. When is the last time in a film that a man truly died of love? And, of course, there's that last image with them at the perfect age together, not him young and her old, beyond all common sense for such a scene. It's pure romanticism.
I LOVE the film!
I truly enjoyed it and saw it a couple of times. I have a brother that must watch it everytime in comes on. It is his favorite. Though not my fave, it's up there.
Without loves fantasy , there is nothing!
