I can name lots of movies that don't have love as their central plot: First how about pretty much every slasher movie ever made. Texas Chainsaw Massacre. Nightmare on Elm Street. I won't say the first Friday the 13th movie because I guess you could make an argument that Jason's mother was killing because of her love for Jason, but I will site every sequel. The Hellraiser movies. The Cube movies. Then there are tons of comedies that don't have love as a central theme. First off my favorite film of all time "The Big Labowski" Then there's Caddyshack or even The Blues Brothers unless you want to count the brotherly love between Jake and Ellwood. How about Dead Man on Campus they are just trying to get somebody to kill themselves that whole movie. So I could go on, but I think I made my point there are plenty of movies that don't screw things up with a stupid love story.
