Where is the big tree in the film 'Forrest Gump' located?!

Question: The name of the state / town would be very helpful.

Answers: The name of the state / town would be very helpful.
If you are asking about Forrest & Jenny's tree (the one in his yard that he buried Jenny under), I believe it is in Bayou La Batre, Alabama. It was a commercial fishing port until Katrina hit. I don't know if it has bounced back from this storm as yet, or not. Hope this helps. Jeannie H

*****Sorry!!! I was wrong. That oak tree is actually located at the entrance to the Carolina Shores Subdivision near the end of Carolina Avenue in Beaufort, South Carolina. To get there you have to take Bruce K. Smalls Drive, which intersects with US 21 just shy of the Beaufort Marine Corps Air Station.*****
Alabama?
