How come in star wars eposide 1 when Qui-Gon Jinn died his body did not disappea!

Question: But in eposide 4 Obi-Wan Kenobi's body did when Darth Vader killed him?

Answers: But in eposide 4 Obi-Wan Kenobi's body did when Darth Vader killed him?
Because they hadn't learned that part of the force yet. It is referred to in the end of Episode 3. Yoda mentions it to Obi-Wan after Padme is dead. Apparently it is something Qui-Gon discovered only after he was dead, so he was able to teach Obi-Wan and Yoda, but possibly was unable to do it himself.
Episode 1 = Better Graphics, Episode 4 = Worse Graphics
The special effects person was out back smoking crack, In fact the whole Lukasarts film production crew was on crack as well. Episode 1. Sucked
He was not as old as Obi Wan or Darth Vader, is all I can think of. And in the old movies they directors were not as kickass.
Your question is one of those in which there is very little information given in the movies. Going by the movie "canon" (by "canon" I mean information from only the movies) Katie is close to being right with her answer but as we know close only counts in horse shoes, hand grenades, thermal Nuclear weapons, & Death Star targets. Qui-Gon didn't learn how to do the "fade" thing ... what he re-learned was the ability to communicate with living Jedi through the Force. With that as a starting point Yoda & Obi-Wan re-learned the "fade" away and become one with the Force thing.

As I said before, this question is almost unanswerable if you only use the movies for information. To answer the question fully you have to embrace the knowledge gained through the EU. EU means Expanded Universe. It includes the hundreds of books and comics that are in print about Star Wars. You may notice that I've said "re-learned" in regards to both of these discoveries ... that's because the "fade" was a common practice among the Jedi thousands of years before the time period of Yoda's life. For whatever reason this ability was forgotten over time. In the end it depends on a lot of things ... how powerful the Jedi is (IE: Padawan, Knight, or Master) This was a "Master Level" power although through out the history of the Jedi there were instances of Knights and even Padawans being able to pull this off. In the current set of books, The Legacy Of The Force series, set about 35 to 40 years after ANH we learn of yet another way for a Jedi to "fade" ... I don't want to spoil anything for anybody who might be reading the books but in "Inferno", book 6 of the 9 book Legacy series we find out that a powerful Jedi Master can actually "fade" away when they want to. By that I mean a character in this book died ... the character was a very powerful Jedi Master but her body didn't fade until weeks after her death ... kind of spooky the way it happens. It was at her funeral just before they were set to light her up the same way they did Qui-Gon ... the body just faded away. It is hinted in the book that the character stayed around to try and get a message to the Jedi Grand Master about how the character died but that has yet to play out in full.

In the end this is another of those "Only George Knows" kind of things. Anyways, hope my ramble helped.
