Answers: Clearly, Hollywood has been running out of ideas because there are more and more remakes of movies -- classic and not-so-classic -- every year.

Thankfully, some classic movies have not been remade -- and rightfully so.

I was just wondering which movie or movies do you think should never be remade and why.

Anything starring Humphrey Bogart - his movies are as good as they can get, and a remake of any of them will be a letdown.
Also, any of the Tracy/Hepburn movies - they're nice to watch as reminders of the time period, but should be left alone.
Finally, any movie directed/produced by Frank Capra. No one else will do his work justice.

i think that any Titanic movie should never be re-made because they all are perfect for that time period when they are made.

they all tell diff. things and facts that we though we true and then we found out that they are not true.

i agree with you that hollywood is running out of ideas. they don't have great writers. the written word is the gist of it all. the optical effects are just eye candy. the soul of the film is the script and they need great writers.
