What I've concluded was when Batman told Wolverine that the key to his trick was Tesla, he was implying that he only cloned himself once and that was all that he needed for his trick.

I think that the REAL Fallon was the one that killed "The Great Danton" at the very end. I believe it was his twin brother that was hung. Because when Fallon ran back home to his little girl, he hugged it like it was his very own child - not his niece. I think that the REAL Fallon lived and his twin was killed.

I had a hard time understanding that movie the first time I watched it too, but it is a very good movie and you need to watch it over and over to understand more about it.

People Fallon wasn't his clone it was his twin brother. You don't know if Fallon dies because they both took turns playing Fallon. Technically the one who lived was the "nicer" one (technically nicer even though her killer Angier in the end) because he was the one who wanted to leave Angier be with that trick while the one who died was the one hellbent on ruining Angier once again. Alfred Borden never made a clone and it was always a twin brother. If you read the novel on which it's based they go into more detail on how they manage to cover it up (birth certificates, family photos. etc.)
