What was the name of this sci-fi show/movie?!

Question: On the sci fi channel I once saw this show or movie (I don't know if it was an episode of a show or a movie but it it was a movie, it's not the kind that would be released in theaters) about a man who's been blind for a long time, but the doctors give him some kind of medicine that returns his vision.

However, he starts seeing this mysterious woman who nobody else can see, and to start with, he can only see her and not hear her, but eventually he is able to talk to her and her talk to him. (Even though no body else can see her).

But then it turns out that the type of medicine they've given him allows him to see this kind of supernatural stuff, but (if I remember correctly) it only works on someone who's been blind, and at the end he dumps all the pills and he goes back to being blind.

If anyone knows what the name of this show is called, I'd very much appreciate it. :)

I'm not sure if this is the one, but it's from "Outer Limits" (newer series):
The Beholder
First aired: 2/25/2000
Patrick Tarloff, a university English professor, lost his eyesight in a childhood accident and now, at age 28, he has regained it through a cutting-edge operation. But when the bandages are removed, he sees more than just the world that has been dark to him for more than 20 years. He sees a mysterious woman, a vision that his neurosurgeon Dr. Angus McCadden and his psychologist, Dr. Louise Burroughs, assure him is only a hallucination. But then Patrick sees her again, communicates with her, touches her. Her name is Kyra, she writes in glowing letters that float in the air, and she needs his help to go home.

Here's some more information to see if this is the one:

Is she this sort of misty-looking lady, very pretty, sort of ghostly? But, she really turns out to be an alien. I remember the effect, but I don't remember how he helped her. I've seen too many episodes, and it's too long ago.
Dr. WHo?
I think its called the eye.....and the main character is Jessica Alba....Hope This Helped!
sounds kinda like outer limits to me
I do not know what it is but I know it is not Dr. Who.
The man with the xray eyes!
