Has anyone seen "Across the Universe" and if so what did you think of !

Question: I really liked it. I thought the music was done very well, too. All those classic Beatles songs - I've heard them so many times it is nice to hear them done by someone else so you can step back and listen to them anew and realize how beautiful those tunes are.

I thought it was amazing. So good, i actually watched it four times in the four weeks it's been out in theatres. :] I thought the acting was very good for some of these newcomers, and the singing was incredible. All of the actors' voices are just breathtaking. The visuals and scenes were beautiful and I hate how some people just didn't understand the movie or didn't like it. You can tell Julie Taymor put alot of effort into this movie, and she picked out all the right songs that flowed through the movie so effortlessly. It's like no other movie musical, and I think the people who have already watched it will remember it because it was so unique from all these other movies that have been out in recent years. It's not the same as all those movies filled with the same thing and the same actors and the same plot. Across the Universe is definetly different and wonderful, and I think it's one of the best movies that have come out in our century, so far..
=( not yet, i wanna see it... bunch of my friends saw it and said it was real good.
I love the Beatles music so probably will go see it
I've seen trailers on TV, but I don't know what the premise of the film is. Is it merely an artistic visualization of Beatle songs?
I loved the opening with Jude on the beach, singing about his Lucy, the credits were amazingly done, and then afterwards it was a bit slow, but it was wonderful once Jude met up with Max, and they started their antics. I loved all the special effects, the music, the strawberries, Eddie Izzard was awesome, and I absolutely loved both the bowling sequence, and the army sequence with Uncle Sam pointing at Max and singing! Those army dudes were pretty menacing as well.
The acting was good too, Jim Strugess kinda looked like Paul McCartney? named Jude was supposed to be Julian Lennon's name??? Bono was good as a Timothy Leary type person, Eddie Izzard is good as Mr. Kite.... the part about Strawberry fields good as killing fields???
the mix with War was good cuss the Beatles as whole against war!!! John Lennon was an outspoken opponent of it...
God did see "Across the Universe" and He says in his best seller, the holy Bible, "It was very good".
i saw it friday...and again on saturday. such an amazing wonderful movie. casting was excellent, cameos (joe cocker!!!), singing, acting. I cant wait for the soundtrack it was wonderful to hear the songs from another voice. so many favorite parts in that movie! the only song i wish was on there that wasnt was sgt. peppers lonely hearts club band, but i wonder how they wouldve tied that in. awesome move, two thumbs way up!
I'm going to see it in less than an hour now. I can't wait. I've heard so many good things about it. I've seen some clips that had been released from the movie, and they look awesome.
I've been listening to the soundtrack nonstop also. I'm happy I'm finally going to see it. :D
