Answers: What kind of horror films do prefer, modern horror fims or classic horror fims? I think classic ones are a lot better then todays horror films.What do u think?

The classics are better, by and large, because they relied more on story and atmosphere rather than blood and gore.

I don't care how much people love the "Saw" movies - they don't hold a candle to "Psycho."

The classic horror films are (on the whole) better because they had to rely on allusion and suggestion to make the horror become real. You didn't typically see the creature/villain until it was absolutely necessary; plus, the dialog was better back then.

Nowadays, horror movies seem to mostly be about how much blood and guts you can throw on screen in a 90-minute window and writing is absolutely secondary. Not the case with all movies nowadays; just most of them.

I like the new ones better- if they have a plot. For exaple, I liked the first Saw, and I loved Silence of the Lambs, and Hannibe, but I hstrf Hostel.
Guess I get more frighted= and find more suspence in- thewer ones. In otherwords, I have seen all the old ones. and now I'm hooked on aderaline from the new ones.
