ratatouille is a gud movie to go see with a child... i think you"ll both like this movie...
The Game Plan is only GOOD kids movie in theaters currently playing. If that's something you've visited the only other choice you have is the Seeker: The Dark is Rising. If you can wait til Friday The Nightmare Before Christmas is being re-released in 3D. The next family film after that is Bee Movie but that doesn't come out til November 2nd.
I saw the initial question and was instantly about to suggest Control, but it is of no use whatsoever for a seven year old, I'm afraid. Other than that, I don't really know.
