What is your FAVOURITE QUOTE from any one movie? Why?!

Question: frankly my dear i don't give a damn

Answers: frankly my dear i don't give a damn

go ahead, make my day....

"Snap out of it!" Moonstruck

"You got a dream, you gotta protect it." Persuit of happyness

and
"with great power comes great responsibility" Spiderman

Tons from Die Hard....but the one that sticks in my head is Terminator: "I'll be back"

"Ya wanna sneak a peek at stiffy? "Jack Lemmon in That's Life.

I'll be back - Terminator

"what are men, compared to rocks and mountains?" - Pride and Prejudice.

well really is there a need to explain?? I love this quote even though I am now happily married when I was single it often reminded me to go to my mountains for peace and calm. (I live in Utah right next to the rocky's so my mountains are grand and calming)

"....me, I'm scared of everything, I'm scared of what I saw, of what I did, of who I am, but most of all I'm scared of walking out of this room and never feeling the rest of my whole life......the way I feel when I'm with you."

Baby-"Dirty Dancing

Just because I love that cheesy movie....

I have a few:

"I'm just a natural born killer." - Mickey Knox (Woody Harellson) from Natural Born Killers.
WHY?: It's a badass line that incites one of the biggest free-for-all battles I've seen on screen. Great prison break scene.

"The greatest trick the Devil ever pulled was making the world believe that he didn't exist... and just like that...he disappears." - Keyser Soze (Kevin Spacy) from The Usual Suspects.
WHY?: It's said in a very charismatic tone just like the Devil himself. As soon as the cop remembers those words, his world comes to a crashing halt as he realizes the great Keyser Soze was with him all along.

"When there's no more room in hell the dead will walk the earth." - Peter Washington (Ken Foree) from Dawn of the Dead (1978).
WHY?: It's eerie as hell. You just feel an utter hopelessness, because as soon as you hear it, you know it's true. Man as doomed himself and God is punishing him for his sins.

Sh*t. Ain't no real cowboys in Texas. We're from New Mexico. -Woody Harrelson as Pepper Lewis, The Cowboy Way

Why? Because there ain't no REAL cowboys in Texas. They're all in Arizona, New Mexico and Hawaii.

Clint Eastwood's full of em. & also Arnie.
But i guess i gotta go w/Stallone on First Blood

"HE DREW FIRST BLOOD CAPTAIN, HE DREW FIRST BLOOD''

I have 2 fav. movie quotes.

From "As Good As It Gets"

Jack Nicholson: "Go sell crazy someplace else. We're all stocked up here."
I luv this one because I can tell it to someone that's trying to tell me some crazy bs or just driving me crazy.

From "Bridget Jones's Diary" - actually, it's two lines together. It's the very last scene in the movie when Bridget & Mark finally kiss:
Bridget:"Wait a minute. Nice boys don't kiss like that."
Mark:"Oh yes they f***ing do!"
I don't know WHY I like this so much - I just do!

when you see them tell em mickey and malory knox did it.- natural born killers

"We all go a little mad sometimes." Norman Bates in Psyco.
Beacuse it's very true.

300

1.) SPARTANS!!! TONIGHT WE DINE IN HELL!!

2.) PERSIANS!!! COME AND TAKE 'EM!!

"I DON'T KNOW WHAT WE'RE YELLING ABOUT!" - Brick from Anchorman

The greatest trick the devil ever pulled was convincing the world he didn't exist, and like that, he's gone.

A Few Good Men
Col. Jessep: Son, we live in a world that has walls, and those walls have to be guarded by men with guns. Whose gonna do it? You? You, Lt. Weinburg? I have a greater responsibility than you could possibly fathom. You weep for Santiago, and you curse the Marines. You have that luxury. You have the luxury of not knowing what I know. That Santiago's death, while tragic, probably saved lives. And my existence, while grotesque and incomprehensible to you, saves lives. You don't want the truth because deep down in places you don't talk about at parties, you want me on that wall, you need me on that wall. We use words like honor, code, loyalty. We use these words as the backbone of a life spent defending something. You use them as a punchline. I have neither the time nor the inclination to explain myself to a man who rises and sleeps under the blanket of the very freedom that I provide, and then questions the manner in which I provide it. I would rather you just said thank you, and went on your way, Otherwise, I suggest you pick up a weapon, and stand a post. Either way, I don't give a damn what you think you are entitled to.

Why?
Because in this day and age, it can't always be someone else's son/daughter. I don't think that everyone who should appreciate what our Troops are doing for us actually DO appreciate them.
**************************************...
Full Metal Jacket
Gunnery Sergeant Hartman, Drill Instructor: God has a hard on for Marines, because we kill everything we see. He plays His games, we play ours. To show our appreciation for so much power, we keep heaven packed with fresh souls. God was here before the marine corps, so you can give your heart to Jesus, but your A $ $ belongs to the Corps!

Why?
Because if you were in the Marine Corps, you get it.

Full Metal Jacket
Door Gunner: Git some! Git some! Git some, yeah, yeah, yeah! Anyone that runs, is a VC. Anyone that stands still, is a well-disciplined VC! You guys oughta do a story about me sometime!
Private Joker: Why should we do a story about you?
Door Gunner: 'Cuz I'm so fuckin' good! I done got me 157 dead gooks killed. Plus 50 water buffalo too! Them's all confirmed!
Private Joker: Any women or children?
Door Gunner: Sometimes!
Private Joker: How can you shoot women or children?
Door Gunner: Easy! Ya just don't lead 'em so much! Ain't war hell?

Why?
It was extremely "ballsy" to actually put this in the film. An incredibly disturbing scene.

in "The Quiet Man" Barry Fitzgerald, usually drinking, delivers furniture to a Newlywed's home the day after their wedding. He carries a crib into the bedroom where he sees the very large bed broken . He says "Impetuous" Then, thinking a bit, he says " Homeric" JOhn Wayne had thrown Maureen O'Hara onto the bed and stormed out on their wedding night in the middle of a fight, and Barry mis-interprets the broken bed as a sign of a torrid wedding night.
