Is there going to be a Stargate SG1 movie made?!
Question: There are two Stargate SG-1 movies due for release straight to DVD. They follow off from where the series ended and also Colonel O'Neill will be returning in them.
The first one due for release in early 2008 is called Arc of Truth and the second, Continuum will be released later that year. All the series regulars reprise their roles.
IMDB do mention them.

That is how the series originated. It started off as a movie
They did that before the series even came out...it was called Stargate. =)
Doubtful. The first "Stargate" movie wasn't all that good to begin with so I don't see where they'll make a new one.

there was an original "stargate" movie before the series was produced. it was quite a good film in my opinion and you should look into buying it. i would love to see a new stargate film but i do not think it is even in writing as there is no trace of it on imdb

The series stemed from the movie Stargate, it explains how they found the first initial gate on earth and how they figured out how to use it, etc.
You should watch it. Altho' it does not fully explain the Guould.
Well there was talk of it a while back. However, nothing been said since. Shame as SG1 was actually better that the Stargate film.
Yes,two. Direct to DVD next year. They will be called Stargate The Ark Of Truth (which will complete the Ori storyline) and Stargate Continuum (which will be a time-travel/alternate reality story).
