Erin Brockovich
Sleepless in Seattle
Sleeping with the Enemy
all really good

well there isn't really a scary love movie that i can think of, but just for pure romance - the notebook & save the last dance is amazing.

Harrisons Flowers.

A Walk on the Moon... not scary but it's way good.

gone with the wind

Don't know where suspensisville is, but it sounds exciting :)

READ THIS!

How about Japanesse or Korean horror movie... They always makes a great scary movie.
You'll jump from your seat and screaming. Try holding his hand and act scary. When the film end, I suggest you start talking about the film with your boyfriend, and that's the romantic part of this horror movie.

BRIDGES OVER MADISON COUNTY.....BASIC INSTINCT...A PERFECT MURDER

If you want a love movie really badly, you should see The Notebook. It is the best romantic movie ever.

LOVE STORY

Hmm, try "A Walk In The Clouds" as this is pure magic and has everything you might desire in a good love story. Suspense, honor, integrity, passion, humor and a great cast with story line. The critics liked it so much that I just had to see it and then I fell in love with the story, from start to finish. Enjoy.

Titanic is the best love story with scary bits in my opinion.

A typical guy, Leonardo DiCaprio loves Kate Winslet yet he never once says the magic words.

Watch it for the big moment when he lets her know that she is the one for him.

Hitchcock made great scary love stories. Off the top of my head "North By North West" is a classic!

Vertigo, Rear Window, Suspicion and The Birds are all great.

I love older films, like an early Hitchcock masterpieces "Suspicion " & "Notorius", although in B&W, especially if new to you.

Squirrel's pick, "A Walk In The Clouds" is good too, if you want a shorter film.

Let me also suggest Kevin Costner's "Body Guard", "Ghost" & "Witness".

Then there's sexual tension in other (almost romance) scary films like "Pelican Papers".

Hollywood makes films that are Music/Drama/Romance genre cross-overs. Example "West Side Story" and "South Pacific" including romance and death.

Or even Comedy/ Horror/ Romance/ Music(sound track) movies like Scary Movie, and Young Frankenstein.

Finally, I also liked "The Man Who Knew Too Much" with Jimmy Stewart and Doris Day (although critics didn't) and a wild comedy remake "The Man Who Knew Too Little" with Bill Murray.

You should rent "Ghost" with Demi Moore and Patrick Swayze.
Its just what you described!

Titanic

This is an old film but it sounds like the plot you described - 'Notorious' with Cary Grant and Ingrid Bergman.

Does it have to be in a theater, or will a DVD do? If you want a DVD, I'll go over to my collection and bring back a stack. *Let's see; love story with a bit of suspense*

Not everyone would agree that they are all love stories, although they have a love affair central to the plot. Not all would agree they were scary or suspenseful, except the suspense of knowing whether the couple will end up together. But they're all good.

you could get these

The Breed Night Tide
Ghost World Scream and Die
Identity Love Rites
Let's Play Dead
The Lunatics
Pandemonium
Possession - Until Death Do You Part
takeing lives
Love of the Damned
Cherry Falls
Sea of Love

Stickw ith the Notebook, although DArk City is an idea

THE NOTEBOOK is the ultimate love/romance movie. I cry each and every time I watch it. When I watched it with my husband, he got a little emotional, too. It is awesome.
