What is your favorite classic movie?!

Question: Mine is Gone With The Wind.

Answers: Mine is Gone With The Wind.

Hmm that's tough. I'd have to say 12 Angry Men, To Kill A Mockingbird, or Harvey, although Cat on a Hot Tin Roof with Elizabeth Taylor and Paul Newman is right up there ;p

Arsenic and Old Lace

It's a tie between "Casablanca" and "The Petrified Forest",Humphrey Bogart's best movies.

Gone with the wind

breakfast at tiffanys

scareface lol

I love all those movies but when I read the question my first impulse was "Rear Window," so I'll say that.

If by "classic" you mean pre-1940, then "Broken Blossoms" a silent starring Mary Pickford, Richard Barthelmess and Victor McLaghlen; the world's only 50-hankie flick.

If by "classic" you mean pre-1970, then "The Sound of Music", at least judging by the number of times (2,578 so far) that I've watched it.

MY favorite classic movie is 'Don't Be A Menace South central Why Drinking your juice in the Hood'.... It's a touching movie and i recommend it to any 1 at all age groups.....

O.g DAY DAY

Can I cheat and list a remake of a classic? It's "Love Affair", which is a remake of "An Affair to Remember". Annette Benning plays Terri McKay and Warren Beatty plays Mike Gambril. You can just feel the chemistry between the two and it's a beautiful story. One of my favorite parts of the movie is when they visit Mike's aunt, Ginny, played by Kathrine Hepburn, and the dynamic between Terri and Ginny. Beautiful.

Edit -
I thought of another remake that I adore, Sabrina. Julia Ormond is great as Sabrina. She has an inherent charm and grace that works well in this movie. You can see why Harrison Ford's character, Linus Larabee, falls in love with her through the course of the movie. And what's not to love about Harrison Ford? He plays Linus to a tee. It's a beautiful movie.

The Thief of Baghdad

Don't know if this would count as calssic but. . .

Night mare on elm street and Fiday the 13th. May not be the best movies ever made. But they are 2 of the most classic slashers ever to be made created!

willy wonka and the chocolate factory

Have to go with the Mesquito Coast or
the african queen with Katherine Hepburn

hhmm that's a tough one. I'd probably have to say Charade or Breakfast at Tiffany's.

The Great Escape

"It's a Mad Mad Mad Mad World"

I love classic Universal Studios monster movies!!! Dracula, Wolfman, Invisible Man, Phantom of the Opera, Frankenstien, Bride of Frankenstien, etc...

I love curling up on a cold night with a blanket, some popcorn, and a good monster movie!

Pretty In Pink!!!!

"Grapes Of Wrath" Let's hear it for the Joads!A powerful epic of an American struggle!

the african queen....I love that movie

Breakfast at Tiffanys and Singing in the Rain

Roman Holiday and Breakfast at Tiffany's

It's a Wonderful Life

Hard to pick a favorite. "Imitation of Life", "White Christmas",
"It's a Wonderful Life","Wizard of Oz"................
