What are the 5 scariest horror movies?!
Question: I want to have a horror movie night. Nothing old like Psycho or Jaws because everywhere it says they are at the top but they really arent scary. I like movies like "Cabin Fever" "Hide & Seek" and the "Saw" movies. I want movies that will make me $#!T my pants! Something newish like in the last 10 years

1 - Hostel I & II
2 - 28 Days later & 28 Weeks later
3 - The Excorcist (very disturbing)
4 - The Texas Chainsaw Massacre (both of the newer ones)
5 - All of the Saw movies

Please don't waste your $$ on seeing BUG - wait til it comes on HBO. It was the stupidest movie I EVER seen!

I know you said you want a new movie but the Excocist is hands down the scariest movie of all time. I am 26 years old and if I see that movie I still want to sleep with the lights on. CREEPY. I think the scariest new movie I have seen is maybe the Ring. oooh or Bug with Ashley Judd is supposed to be pretty good.
To tell you the truth, the scariest movies are basically from 60's-70's era. The reason why they don't seem that scary to you its because you probably have watched them a dozen times on TBS. To rephrase your question, you should really be asking what are the 5 scariest movies in the past 10 years. There are clearly not as many that classify, but here is the best I could do with my respose (opinion based)-
1. Saw I
2. The Ring
3. The Hills Have Eyes
