Has anyone ever heard of the "13th Floor Elevator" group from the 60&q!
Question: I just watched a documentary on the lead singer Roky Erickson, his life then and now. Wow, how come I never heard of them? I mean, I was into the psychedelic stuff and they coined the term " Psychedelic Rock". I am totally amazed this fantastic group was out there and I missed them. Till now. I will locate a CD and buy it!

I first read about 13th Floor Elevators in Dave Marsh's book "The Heart of Rock & Soul: The 1001 Greatest Singles Ever Made," which included "You're Gonna Miss Me" on the list. That led me to tracking it down on the 1972 "Nuggets" compilation. It really is one of the great rock singles.
