Al Pacino all the way, who else can jump from a hyper crazy Cuban cocaine drug dealing killer named Tony Montana, to the calm Don of the Italian mafia in "The Godfather". Each time he acts it's like a whole different person, you don't realize it's Pacino, you forget it's him. All you see is his charecter. Dinero is amazing as well, but not on the level of Pacino.

Is one truly better than the other? I don't think so, different yes, better? Nah. Maybe if one or the other were to do a remake of the others role in a previous flick then you can say which was better, I can't see Pacino in Deniro's roles or the other way 'round. That's why Casting Directors should get more credit, because they envision certain actors in specific roles and more times then not, they nail it.
