Do you agree that 'The Searchers' is the best western ever made?!

Question: Now showing on TCM - started at 9.00pm

John Wayne at his best

Answers: Now showing on TCM - started at 9.00pm

John Wayne at his best

Yes or True Grit.

Nope... That would be 'High Plains Drifter'...

No - Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid.

Um -- no.

No Way The Good The Bad and The Ugly Wins that

No. I think the best western was "The Train Robbers" with John Wayne and Anne Margaret. Anne Margaret was the bad guy "girl" all along. She conned John Wayne and all the guys in the movie. I loved it! It was ahead of its time.

I agree with you entirely, The Searchers was the best western ever made, it was under estimated when it was first released, but one of the best films John Wayne ever made, it is well known that it is one of the best classics ever made!

No I think it's Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid. That's my favourite movie!

Love John Wayne but think High Noon the best with Gary Cooper

No way

The good the bad and yhe ugly is by far the best western.

It was a good film, but it's dated now. And John Wayne never aged in the film, he was always the same. I liked Open Range, though, of all the most recent films, though there have been a couple of other good ones, including Unforgiven. But it's all a matter of choice, isn't it?

I am going to have to go with 'Magnificent Seven'
