1978 version of halloween?!

Question: A TOP SCARY MOVIE, I KNOW THEY ONLY HAD A BUDGET A 300,000, BUT HOW MUCH DID THEY MAKE IN THE BOX OFFICE?
DO YOU CLASSIFY IT AS THE BEST HORROR MOVIE?
AND THAT IT HAD PARTS OF SILENCE TO SCARE YOU?
DO YOU HATE ALL THE SEQUELS?
DID YOU THINK ROB ZOMBIE SCREWED UP HALLOWEEN?

I'm not sure about the box office success, but this is my all time favorite horror flick! I love this show and I absolutely love Jamie Lee Curtis because of this show. I think there is too much gore nowadays. Movies like Saw and Hostel are too gruesome and leave nothing for the imagination. Halloween is the ultimate boogeyman in the shadows movie, and that is scary enough for me! I haven't seen the Rob Zombie version yet but I'm excited to see it. Halloween 2 was also pretty good but after that, especially Halloween 3, not very interesting anymore.

I love the original Halloween. It is a classic horror film and one of my all time favorites of the genre.

I think Rob Zombie did a fair job. That kid he got for young Mike has to be the creepiest kid since Samara from the Ring. I would classify the original as being one of the Best Horroe movies ever. I particularly like the scene where Loomis shoots Mike and he falls off the balcony and when they look again he is gone. Gave me chills.

#1 no idea #2 yes but tied with the exorcist #3 yes #4 Rob Zombie couldn't screw anything up

loved the original. saw it when I was twelve and couldn't sleep for days. slept with the lights on. I hate remakes. I like part 2 and h20

It made about $47M worldwide. I don't think it was the best but it was very good. Some of the sequels weren't the best but I think number 3 hurt the series the most. What was that about?

Not only did Rob Zombie screw up halloween, he screwed up Thanksgiving and New Years Eve as well. I believe my 1978 version of halloween consisted of trick-or-treating in a hobo costume.

The movie made $47,000,000 in box office and has made $18,500,000 in rentals to date.
It's not my absolute favourite horror movie, but it's up there, I like it, yes it scared me.
I haven't seen all the sequels, but those that I have seen have not been very good at all.
I haven't seen Rob Zombie's film, but I don't see how he could improve on the first movie.

Yes that was the top scary movie, but the box office made a killing off of this movie. I liked Halloween 1&2 and H20 but I also saw Halloween by Rob Zombie and I do have to say that was a good f**king movie but I don't think there will be room for a sequel but you never know with Rob he might just do it.
