Only answer this if you have seen the movie Adaptation?!

Question: I need to know why half of the movie is unconventional and the last 20 minutes are cliche.

What meaning is he trying to convey by making half the movie satirizing hollywood and half of it going against Kaufman's principles?

What is he saying? What is his message?

It's for a class I have.

I asked a question about this before but nobody seemed to understand what I was looking for. They just explained to me what I already knew.

Do not explain to me how he does it, I need to know the MESSAGE of the movie!!!!

Please do not do that.

Superficial level, its saying how absurd and cliched Hollywood is. Adding in carchases and drugs for the hell of it when it seemed like it didn't add anything to the story. The whole ending was written by his fake brother.
On a deeper level, it could mean that for Charlie, happiness and love could only exist in a fictional world. I view the ending as not really being happy because it is just mocking the hollywood endings of everything ending warm and fuzzy, with him getting the girl and driving off into the sunset.
Its one of those movies that keeps looping back on itself, so its a little hard to explain

Well then, you should have been more clear in your original question. Maybe that would have helped answer it in the first time around.

On the other hand, if you already know what the movie is about, then shouldnt you also already understand the meaning? If you grasp the concept of the film, then you should easily understand what Kaufman is saying about this film, films in general, and Hollywood overall. Its pretty freakin' obvious.

Oh and by the way, do your own freakin homework! Dont just try to pass off other people's thoughts and ideas as your own so that you can get an A on some silly little homework assignment. If you cant do the work then you shouldnt be in the class. And if you dont understand the film maybe you shouldnt be either.

Also, dont be such a b*tch to people who answer your ill-concieved question and that take the time out to help you by answering it in the first place.

Please do not do that.
