Well, I'm not sure why they are doing this one. We don't need another one. I love the story, I first read it when I was in fourth grade. The closest we have come to have the real thing was the 13th Warrior, and it was just a perversion of the story. There have been 10 or 15 tellings of this story over the last 20 to 25 years and none of them come close. I wish Hollywood would get it in their heads that they might have some success with the real thing and quit trying to beat a piece of crap version into our heads as something good.

most people dont like to wait a lot of years between sequels.
if you wait a long time then interest faids (seems Star Wars has suffered from that).
if your going to add to a story, get it done.
Pirates of the Carriebean was a great example of good planning on timming.
