I hate movie critics!!!!!!!!!!!!!!?!

Question: these movie critics are all retarded snobs. they give such bad reviews to the best films, and they give excellent reviews to the crappiest boring films. it seems to me that everyone thinks the opposite of what the critics say.

let me take a movie i have seen recently- underworld (2003). i liked it . i would have given it a 10/10. i went online to see what ebert and roeper gave it. roeper gave it a thumbs up, but ebert gave it a thumbs down cause he said it was too confusing and didnt let the audience know what's going on. he is wrong. how can u not know what the hell was going on. i understood it perfectly.
then i went to imdb.com, it got a 6.6/10 there. then i went to the worst of them all-rottentomatoes.com. so many wannabe-critic @$$holes on this site. underworld got 30% on this site. again i read that it was "boring" and "confusing". are these people retarded?

does anyone else have the same hatred towards critics as i?

I would have to agree with you that some of the worst films that I've ever seen were given good reviews by movie critics. I think that the problem is that they see just way too many films - I think that I see a lot and I'm only at the theater a few times a month. They have to go see everything out there and I think they probably do see the same old Hollywood formulas all the time.

I think that they do get it right sometimes but I agree with some of the other answers - you have to go see what you find interesting no matter what the reviews say.

Yeah sometimes they are so wrong about films I never follow what the critics say anymore. Case in point the last time I listened to the critics I paid $17.99 for "The Hours" on DVD, and that was the most boring movie I've ever seen! Yet a great movie like "Eve's Bayou" barely merited a mention. I don't hate the critics I just think they need to think outside of the box sometimes. And how is Underworld confusing..wearwolves VS vampires it's pretty simple to me.

Ok listen... I own underworld and underworld evolutions, and yes i think they are both cool movies but you really wanted to give it a 10/10?

i mean seriously you would consider Underworld perfect? Either you haven't seen many movies at all or are just easy to please. Critics have a place in the movie industry because at the end of the day, while we might not always agree, they are fans of films just like we are, only they get paid to do it. Its an opinion piece and should in no way be taken as a definitive answer. The only people i have a problem with are those that take reviews seriously and get upset over them

Yes, me too.
They are totally jaded and feel so above everyone that they feel so special that they influence people to see or not see certain movies. People who want to see a certain movie and then don't because a critic rates it bad are sheep! Have a brain and see what YOU want to see! And they rate all little kid movies bad because they do not watch it with a kid point of view.

Underworld, excellent? I suggest you see more movies. BTW Excellent is, Back to the Future, Raiders of the Lost Ark, The Godfather, Tombstone, Night of the Living Dead, and of course Fast Times at Ridgemont High. Narly.
