Has anyone played as an "extra" in a movie?!
Question: I've had experiences with a couple of different films...the remake of "The Shining" and TV movies Asteroid & The Stand.....
The movies that are the most fun to be involved in are period movies....like the Shining where the extras for the Ballroom scene all had to be dressed in period costume.....FUN!
That and how fun would it have to been to have been an extra in something like....Dawn of the Dead??

No, but I dated a girl who was in Steel Magnolias. She was going to college where they were filming and her Journalism class got to be extras in the scene at the fair. You can see her walking by the screen.
Many movies are made where I live, so I have been seen briefly in many of them. One had scenes filmed around the corner from my home. I do not know the names of most of these movies, because I did not care to ask. My kid sister was thrilled to be fimed with her baby in a movie a few moths ago and said I should come to visit her and be in it too. I did not spoil her fun by telling her I pay no heed to such stuff.
A guy I went to school with was in Last of the Mohican's.
I wish I had, but my english teacher was friend with a guy who chose the extras... i tried to ask him but he kept saying "Just think of not failing my classes!"
Yes, and it turned out to be the worst film ever made, I swear. Fortunately, it never got any kind of distribution and no one ever saw it.
